When I was creating this dolphin stained glass nightlight for oceanic decor, I envisioned many shades of blues, especially aqua and turquoise. I envisioned the porpoise glistening as it jumps from the sea with the sea spray shimmering all around it. To accomplish this effect I chose a special aqua glass with a reflective finish of blues, aquas and lavender and painted the design on the surface. The belly is a light shimmery paint in a crystalline finish and the eye is a clear Austrian crystal. The silver version leaves the animal clear while the glass is painted in two shades of turquoise around it. Both artworks work well together in the same room.
