The warm sun shines on the cold crystalline winter day, warming the vision of this vibrant poinsettia. In this poinsettia nightlight I have painted, the flower rests amidst a winter wonderland of crystalline ice background and a frosty red frame. It is as if it is part of an iced rimmed garden where the flower blooms in splendor and opens out like hands reaching for the day. Its center glows with gold jewels while its live red petals contrast with the deep green leaves. Backlit from the sun, its leaves and petals are rimmed with gold while frozen dew drops sparkle upon them. All in all it is a splendid image of snow diamonds and vibrant color.
