Holly and Berries

      This holly hand painted nightlight is made completely free-form and without a pattern, so each one is different and unique. I start by placing three large red jewels in the center of pure white semi translucent art glass and make a curved outline frame in sparkly edging paint. This is filled with Christmas red. Next the leaves are drawn free-hand so some of the white glass is left unpainted and allowed to show and provide snowy contrast. Lastly the leaves are painted with a blend of pine green and light blue-green for the center definition. I've outlined this particular design in gold because it goes so well with the red, green and white but it would also look beautiful with the silver edging too.
